Chantel and Joshua - The Tryall Club - Hanover Jamaica - April 2012

Have you met someone that you just simply click with? Well as for me yes, many times and meeting this couple was a vibe like that. Matter of fact strangely I had that feeling just by receiving the very first email from Chantel. I mean we just simply had a wonderful chemistry. Chantel and Joshua you two are so down to earth and really really really cool people. You guys really inspired me even more to just go on and on doing photography. Josh you are so hilarious my friend and appreciated every single joke that you cracked....lol. :) and that cigar was super smooth.... totally loved it. You guys simply made the day what it turned out to be.....awesome. By the way Oneisha the wedding coordinator at Tryall you did a superb job my friend with a simplistic approach. A little tiny lady with wonderful skills :)

Thank you guys for just being yourselves you completely worked with me and did we have an even  bigger ball on day two. I mean I could see the excitement you both had when we did our thing at the various locations. I really enjoyed that and the weather was just perfect. Wish  we could just go on and on....lol. A big shout out to your guests too they were really cool also....really fun people to be around. Thank you again and looking forward to your next visit to my beautiful island Jamaica. For my viewers see below for what the couple had to say in their own words:

"The photos are everything we hoped for and more.. you captured the moments that flew by on this day and we are so thankful for you to bring this day to life through your work!!!
Beyond the photography, you were an amazing host to your island. We enjoyed every minute of the Trash the Dress session with you and your crew. Thanks for taking it to another level and being so very personable and down to earth. Like we told you then, when you have a passion you follow it. When people tell you that you have an amazing talent and you love doing what you do, then thats something you chase! Don't make it work, keep it a passion! I'll be forever referring people your way as you did the job and beyond!!! Thanks again from the bottom of our hearts. - Josh and Chantel."

Sheena and Gordon - Golden Cove Villa - St.Mary Jamaica- April 2012

It was one of those beautiful days when the the sky was absolutely spectacular with patches of clouds that created awesome works of art that one simply had to stop take notice and truly give the creator thanks for preserving your life to experience such a glorious moment from nature.....thank you again I say to the creator/artist. The tone for the day was decided from that and was made even better with the lovely couple, their wonderful guests, the beautiful venue Golden Cove Villa and  the ever hard working team from Island Bride Jamaica.

Sheena and Gordon were such great subjects and a wonderful couple. The little girly squeals from the ladies when each makeup stroke was applied to the brides face was such a wonderful sound to hear...lol. Sheena I could feel the love from your girls. Not to be out done were the guys at the other end who constantly were checking their famous time pieces and really had a very nice vibe. That feeling of family love was also felt from the parents of the couple who were ever so overjoyed with their wonderful kids :) .

Twas a wonderful day with beautiful people..... made me started singing that famous U2 song 'Beautiful day'. ...really do love that song. Now see below for a few images. www.zulusproweddings.com

IMITATORS !!!!!

" Be yourself; no base imitator of another, but your best self. There is something which you can do better than another. Listen to the inward voice and bravely obey that. Do the things at which you are great, not what you were never made for.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson
Its amazing the things that I see happening. It would appear that the majority of so called photographers have lost their ways or they are mad. I see with great regularity where photographers just simply imitate another photographers work as if its no big deal. Nothing is wrong to be inspired by another, but good God dudes......must you all do the very same and exact thing that you saw? Can you not change the scenario? Put a twist to what you saw.  Put your inner self in it. Do you all read books or literature that can stimulate your  left and right brain to produce ideas of your own?  Jeez!!! you all make this seem so difficult when its not...seriously. In my view you are just simply lazy bums who sit, wait, take then go on a hype spree proclaiming that you all are the best and blah blah blah !!!!!!! If you all are the best let your work do the talking and let the world decide that. But guess what I am not into any form of hype as I am simply doing what I like best which is to create images in my own world. I am an image maker first and a photographer second and definitley not into a competition with anyone.

I was so disappointed by a recent wedding post published in a local newspaper and a particular photographer who proclaims that he is the best simply copied my ideas and had the audacity to post . This of course was brought to my attention by not one or two clients of mine but four. Four clients who knows the images that I create and that one in particular. Dude seriously I did not expect to see something like this and really had to voice my opinion on this matter. It is so funny as it was last saturday that I saw an attempt by another photographer to imitate an image by a well known international image maker and was discussing that with a friend of mine and what do you know, I saw my very own image scenario being imitated. Dudes its not the first or the second time am seeing these things being done by you all. YOU NEED TO STOP THIS  IMMEDIATELY. STOP STEALING!!!!! You all must have your own initiative; and not be mere imitators.  Learn to think and create your own stuff  and be free. Please note that the qoute above was not my own but guess what I did not claim it as mine I gave the owner  his credit for such. I do hope you will read every line and follow same as then again imitating is simply what you know best.....always the follower and not the leader.

As Igor Stravinsky quoted  " What gives the artist real prestige is his imitators".
Thank you for giving me that prestige.
